The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Committee on Information and Communications Ivan Gromov, who congratulated the winners and winners of the Olympiad «IT-Planet", presented them with certificates and medals, and wished them success and professional achievements. Olympiad “IT-Planet” is a unique platform that provides participants the chance not only to demonstrate their level of theoretical knowledge, but also the gives the opportunity to meet highly qualified specialists in the field of data protection and information technology, to exchange experience, as well as receive practical training in leading companies.
In the 2014-2015 academic year, the competition was attended by more than 10,000 students and young graduates from 696 universities from 12 countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Finland).
The international final of the VIII International Olympiad “IT-Planet” in 2015 was held in St. Petersburg at the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Peter the Great.
